"Before I did Taekwon-Do I got picked on all the time' I still get picked on sometimes, but Taekwon-Do has made me more confident at dealing with my own battles and not getting my friends involved. It is also fun after a school day, it makes my day and all the students and teachers are nice. I have made good friends at TaeKwon-Do.

Blue Belt student
Since starting Taekwon-Do, William has become more confident and is able to speak out more. After his 3rd week he got to do his grading and passed to get his new belt. He was overjoyed to have passed and is happy he has found something he loves and is good at. Mr Kessler is an amazing teacher who expects his students to be polite and well behaved...this being the main reason why we chose universal martial arts. We wanted something that would have a positive effect on Williams behaviour and confidence. TKD and universal martial arts has done just that.

Since I started my listening skills have increased. I have gained so much confidence because of my knowledge of Taekwon-Do, before I would not volunteer for anything and now I will volunteer for everything. From doing Taekwon-Do I have improve my language skills in learning theory. I find Taekwon-Do extremely enjoyable and interesting.

We discovered Taekwon-Do as one of my son’s friends was doing it. I initially wanted to give him more confidence and the knowledge of how to deal with difficult situations. It’s a good activity to help keep fit, to have a goal to work towards and to instil some discipline.

Taekwon-Do is great exercise and it's good that my children can both enjoy something together despite their differences in age and sporting ability. My daughter particularly enjoys the variety of activities in the sessions which includes self defence techniques, pattern exercises, sparring and warm-up routines.
